SIT demanded to probe suicide case of Akshay Kumar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 11: Amid transfer of Armed Police Inspector, Naresh Sharma as SHO Janipur Police to Akhnoor, following suicide by an under trail few days back, the people are joining hands to expose misdeed of the Police officer and allegedly misused his official position. Dogra Sanghthan Amit Kapoor who in past had criticized Naresh Sharma during his posting as SHO Janipur for allegedly shielding drug-mafia, has demanded constitution of special investigating team (SIT) to probe Akshay's suicide case. "I want justice for Akshay Kumar who few back ended his life by jumping into Tawi River. The role played by then SHO Naresh Sharma is very suspicious, in past Naresh Sharma had faced multiple as enquiries cases. The family of Akshay claims that SHO Naresh Sharma harassed Akshay mentally and physically", Kapoor said, adding that role of Janipur Police is under clout, why they allowed person to move freely and alone, when the court had cancel his interim bail. "It was duty of Janipur Police to shift him in jail as per the court's order. His connections and his say in the department can be gauge from the fact that he managed a choice posting without any actions against him after suicide by a under trail", he said, adding that he accumulated huge wealth from un-known sources, so the anti graft agencies should check his disproportionate assets. Meanwhile, a law student of Jammu University met me and narrated his ordeal and illegal confinement of Naresh Sharma in Janipur Police station. Aavim Kumar Chadgal, a law student, has faced wrath of Naresh Sharm'a gunda raaj. "A man in civil dress at Naka outside Janipur Police station snatched key of my bike, when entered inside the Police Station and narrated maltreatment I met, he shouted at me and also threshed me. I have filed a case in SHRC against, manhandling by Naresh Sharma, but the case could not reached to its logical conclusion, as after abrogation of article 370 several commissions including SHRC seize to be exit", Chadgal said. |
