JKEEGA urges LG to issue SRO on ACP for engineers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 11: Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) today held a meeting here in Jammu under the chairmanship of Er Sachin Tickoo, General Secretary and attended among others by Er Ashok Dubey Vice President, Er MP Singh, Provincial Secretary, Er Rajeshwar Jamwal, Provincial Publicity Secretary, Er Yash Paul, Organizing Secretary, Er Parshottam Kumar and Cashier, Er Vipul Sharma. The participants deliberated on the issue of non-issuance of SRO of Assured Career Progression (ACP) in favour of engineers even after a lapse of two years though the same stands approved in favour of engineers by the then cabinet of the PDP-BJP Government. The meeting said that it is a grave injustice with the engineering fraternity that even after the reorganization of J&K and the role of engineers in the developmental activities has been appreciated by one and all still have to face administrative apathy and have been left in lurch. The Seventh Pay Commission by central government has already extended the Assured Career Progression to the central govt employees and we were hopefully that after the Reorganisation all hurdles will be removed and SRO on ACP shall be issued on priority. The Engineering fraternity finds itself helpless even though time and again in the last two years each and every corner of the administration has been closely followed but with no success. It is therefore urged to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and issue necessary instructions to the concerned quarters so that the Assured Career Progression scheme already approved in the erstwhile cabinet sees the light of day, the members said. |
