Jammu, Sept 11: At least 16 passengers suffered injuries, two of them critically, when a minibus they were traveling in plunged into a deep gorge near Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday afternoon. The injured were identified as Seema Devi (22), Bansi Lal (63), Radha Kotwal (32), Priya Sharma (14), Seti Badiyal (16), Bina Devi, Salim, Anju Devi, Bakeel Chand, Anu Devi, Mohammad Akram, Ratan Lal, Shallu Devi, Babli Sharma, Vaishno Devi. Police here said that the minibus was on way from village Karkiyal to Katra fell into a deep gorge near Narayana hospital. ''Over-speed led to the mishap,'' police further said and added that ''the injured passengers were shifted to the Narayana h ospital.'' Those with minor injuries were discharged but two of them, with critical injuries, were under treatment, they added. An FIR has been registered and investigation was underway, police added. |
