POONCH, Nov 2: District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today convened a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in the district. An annual action plan amounting to Rs. 390.76 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission was also approved for the district. The meeting was attended by ACD, Rajesh Lakhan, SE Hydraulic, Prem Nath Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Dr G.A Malik, District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed, Xen PHE Rajinder Sharma, Xen Irrigation, Manzoor Chowdhary, AEE Mechanic Amarpreet Singh and other concerned officers. The SE Hydraulic gave a detailed presentation about the progress and role of different departments for effective implementation of the scheme in the district. DDC said that the Jal Jeevan Mission is a centrally sponsored scheme launched to provide tap water to all households across the country. The DDC asked the department to take up work in all the blocks in mission mode to achieve the target within stipulated time frame. The DDC stressed upon the officers to speed up their tasks so that cent percent households be provided Tap Water Connections within the given timeframe. He stressed upon the concerned officers to work with zeal and enthusiasm so that objectives of the mission are implemented in letter and spirit.
