BJP leaders show disrespect to national flag | Instead of repenting, senior leader appreciates workers on social media | | RAJESH TANDON
EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Nov 8: It seems that Bhartiya Janta Party has forgotten its ethical principles, which is obvious from the recent incident where BJP workers in Rajouri showed disrespect to the national flag by holding it upside down while posing for a picture. Sources told Early Times that a photograph has surfaced in social media wherein BJP workers from Rajouri were displaying tricolor, which was upside down and considered as an insult but more shocking was that a senior BJP leader posted his comment of appreciation for the act on social media platform. This is not the only incident in the recent past, even such disrespect was shown by BJP workers in Poonch district also, they said. They further said that instead of repenting, a senior leader ignored the insult and continued to appreciate the workers. “Although it is a fact that insult to national flag draws legal action yet no action was taken against this episode,” they said adding that when few people pointed out the issue on social media but astonishingly the staunch followers of BJP started targeting the person for highlighting the mistake. The locals strongly criticized the act of BJP workers, they said that on one hand soldiers die for their country but on the other hand BJP has been insulting tricolor. They appealed to the administration to take note of the matter and demanded appropriate action. |
