| Illegal mining, transportation: 5 vehicles, JCB seized | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Nov 11: Samba Police seized six vehicles including a JCB, a Dumper and 04 Tractor-Trolley, during the last 24 hrs which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction materials in District Samba.
Acting on reliable information regarding illegal mining/transportation of construction material (sand) from Basantar river bed near village Dhora, Samba, a Police team led by DySP DAR Samba rushed to the spot and seized a JCB and a Dumper bearing Regd. No. JK21C-6061 and JK02CJ-4277 respectively for illegal mining of construction material from said area.
In another incident, a Police Party of PS Samba led by SHO PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, seized two tractors found transporting the construction material (Sand) without any legal permission. The Regd. No. of one of the Tractors seized is JK21B-1276 whereas the other seized Tractor was without Regd. No. Similarly, a Police team of PS Ramgarh led by SHO PS Ramgarh while performing patrolling duty seized two tractors bearing Regd. No. JK02T-7143 and others were without Regd. No. for illegally transporting of construction material (Sand) from Devak river bed near village Keso Manhasan, Ramgarh. The cases of all the six vehicles intercepted/seized by Samba Police in the above-mentioned incidents have been handed over to Geology and Mining Department, Samba for further action. |
