Account Assistant exam mismanaged in Rajouri, allege aspirants | | | Ankit Kessar
Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 11: Total mismanagement was witnessed in Account Assistant exams conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board in Rajouri district on Tuesday, candidates have alleged. Aspirants told Early Times that “Sitting arrangement was in mess and COVID-19 SOPs were compromised, wrong center names were allotted to aspirants due to which many missed their exams. Huge traffic jam was witnessed in Rajouri town due to which many candidates remained stuck and couldn’t reach the examination centers.” Some candidates also staged a protest against JKSSB at Dangri alleging that the center name was wrong in the hall ticket provided to them. “In our hall ticket HEM college Thandi Kassi was mentioned as an examination center but when we reached we were told that the HEM school is the exam center. It created confusion due to which lot of time was wasted,” aspirants said. “There was no social distancing in the centers particularly outside the centers where a list of seating arrangements was pasted as huge crowd gathered at one place. No videography was done of the entire examination process. The candidates were seen discussing questions papers with each other. The halls were not sanitized. Not only this, even the aspirants were allowed to leave the examination hall before time in total violation of JKSSB guidelines,” they alleged. They said that before conducting exams, the senior JKSSB officials had made tall claims that free and fair exams will be conducted. “It proved to be a joke,” they added. Aggrieved aspirants demanded re-conduct of the exam. Repeated attempts to reach the concerned SSB officials didn’t materialize as no one picked up the phone. |
