| SEC interacts with different Political Parties | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 11: State Election Commissioner (SEC) K.K Sharma today said that elaborate measures have been undertaken for the smooth conduct of District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat By-Elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The SEC was interacting with the representatives of different political parties here today. Chief Electoral Officer Hirdesh Kumar and other senior officers were also present.
The SEC while responding to the demands and suggestions of the political parties assured them that these would be looked into and redressed properly.
He said that they should also actively participate in the ensuing elections which would go a long way in further strengthening the democratic setup besides also taking the governance to the district and grass root level across the union territory.
