| NC, PDP, Cong never thought of strengthening grassroot democratic institutions: Rekha | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: Secretary, BJP Jammu & Kashmir, Prabhari District Jammu West & Prabhari Data Management Team for DDC elections, Rekha Mahajan, along with Seh Prabharis of Data Management Team, Parneesh Mahajan, Rahul Sharma, Sanjeev Singh Manhas and Subham Chib, in a meeting, stated that 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments, were meant to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system but parties like NC, PDP and Congress never showed any interest in strengthening the Panchayati Raj System in the country .These parties took the advantage of Article 370 and never implemented the Amendments in Jammu and Kashmir, which were otherwise implemented in entire country. She added that Congress, NC and PDP were in power for so many years ,but never ever thought to empower basic institutions of democracy. She asserted that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the first ever District Development Council elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen grassroot democratic institutions. Rekha Mahajan appealed to the people to strengthen the hands of PM Narendra Modi by supporting Bharatiya Janta Party candidates to make a big win of the Party in District Development Council elections for real empowerment and development. |
