DDC polls to yield no fruits for KPs: Sunil | | | EarlyTimes Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: Much publicised District Development Councils elections which are going to be held in 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir union territory from November 28,in phased manner is said to be a futile exercise for migrant Kashmiri Pandit community as they see nothing favourable for themselves in the process, sources said here today. Taking a dig at the administration of Jammu and Kashmir union territory social activist Sunil Pandita while talking to EarlyTimes said that the participation of migrant Kashmiri Pandit community in the elections of DDCs is just mere an eye wash because no proper arrangements have been made for their voting in Jammu and other parts of the country, he added. “We are supposed to cast our vote through postal ballot by using M-Forms for our respective districts in Kashmir valley to elect our panchayat members from Jammu”, Sunil said, adding “instead we should have been asked to remain out of the poll process because it is not going to serve any purposes of Kashmiri Pandit migrants who have been living in exile for the last over three decades now, he added.
