UDHAMPUR, Nov 26: A total of 16 advance polling parties for District Development Council and Panchayat By –Election 2020 phase-I were today dispatched to their respective polling stations along with Ballot Boxes and other election related material under tight security cover.The polling staff left in presence of District Panchayat Election Officer, Dr Piyush Singla, here from Government Degree College Boys Udhampur. Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohd Syed Khan, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Viqar Ahmed Giri, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary, Deputy District Election Officer, Dr. Shavi, Micro Observer, Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates besides other senior officers of Civil Administration and police were also present on the occasion.The DPEO informed that the polling parties were dispatched in advance so that they can reach in time at their respective locations. He added that adequate number of security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police and central paramilitary forces were deployed along with the polling parties. The DPEO informed that 12 polling parties have been dispatched for DDC- constituency of Dudu-Basantgarh, while 04 polling parties have been dispatched for Latti – Marothi DDC- constituency. |
