| DPEO Kishtwar inspects strong room - counting centres | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Nov 26: District Panchayat Election Officer, Ashok Kumar Sharma today visited the Kendriya Vidyalaya and the Government Degree College Kishtwar to review the arrangements for housing the strong rooms and the counting centres there.
He was accompanied by the Additional Deputy commissioner, Pawan Parihar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain besides other officials.
He also took stock of the infrastructure and security arrangements to be made there.
He asked ACR Kishtwar to ensure the upgradation of these identified strong rooms and counting centres as per the specifications and guidelines of the Election Commission.
Other strong rooms and counting centres have been established in decentralised manner at various designated places like HSS Sounder Dachhan,TRC Chatroo and CFC Paddar among other places as per the feasibility of the location and keeping in view the security of area and convenience of the people.
Meanwhile, the training for the polling staff including the polling officers and micro-observers is going on smoothly at the training centres established at meeting Hall DC office and GDC Kishtwar.
