Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 26: On the 12th anniversary of Mumbai terror attacks, Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) on Thursday paid rich tributes to 26/11 Martyrs who laid down their lives while fighting terrorists.
The function was organised at Dogra Shourya Sthal, Amphalla, here.
The function was organised by FFMA Chairman Ved Gandotra in presence of Vice Chairman Rajiv Mahajan, President R.C Puri and prominent members of FFMA.
Floral tributes were paid to the great souls by all the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Gandotra said “I pay homage to the brave policemen and army personnel who fought for Mumbai’s safety and laid down their lives for nation on November 26. We are proud of them.”
He expressed his anguish against the Pakistan Government who helped the terrorists and asked the Central Government to take every possible step to avoid such attack in the future and give befitting reply to any such attack.
While paying tribute, Rajiv Mahajan Vice Chairman of FFMA said that the nation will be eternally grateful to all the security forces personnel who made the supreme sacrifice.
“We have been putting pressure on Pakistan, absolutely making very clear that its breeding ground for terrorism and not doing enough to contain terrorism on its soil. They must do much more than what they say in words,” he said.
Mahajan said that the world is slamming Pakistan for freeing terrorist and 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saaed.
Mahajan said, “We salute all those brave women and men who lost their lives in the gruesome 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.”
R.C Puri said that Mumbai had come to a standstill on this day 12 years ago when 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists who came to Mumbai via sea route from Pakistan carried out a series of coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across the city.
Among others present were Karnail Chand Thakur (General Secretary), Prof. S.P Sharma, S.S Balwal, Parbhat Kapahi and others.
