| JMC holds workshop-cum-training programme for Sanitary Inspectors, Supervisors | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 5: A Workshop-cum-Training Programme for Sanitary Inspectors and Supervisors was organized by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in its Council Hall.
The Sanitary Officers along with the Sanitary Inspectors and Supervisors were trained by the JMC Officials regarding their roles and responsibilities. They were made aware to work as per Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules 2019 and to implement them further on field.
Along with that a Quiz Competition was also organized in which a total Of 25 Questions were asked regarding Swachh Bharat Mission and Solid Waste Management and the winners were awarded with Certificates and Trophies.
Moreover, all the Sanitary Inspectors were awarded with various Prizes in order to boost their Moral.
A training regarding Segregation of Solid Waste was also organized by IEC (Information, Education & Communication) team. Along with that the importance of three Dustbins i.e. Blue for Dry Waste, Green for Wet Waste & Black for Domestic Hazardous Waste was also given along with live examples.
Officials were also made aware about the importance of cleanliness and told to download the Swachata app in order to resolve the grievances at door steps of the public.
The event was organized under the chairmanship of Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta, Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma, Chairman Swachh Bharat Committee Suraj Prakash, Commissioner JMC Avny Lavasa and Secretary JMC/ Nodal Officer SBM Tinna Mahajan. |
