| Police arrests rape accused | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: A person accused of a rape case was arrested today by the Jammu & Kashmir Police from Samba. The accused has been identified as Ajay Kumar resident of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Reports said that on 9-12-2020, a report regarding rape was lodged in P/S Trikuta Nagar. On this, case FIR No. 338/20 U/S 376 IPC got registered at P/S Trikuta Nagar and victim was taken to Government Hospital for medical examination. After this, special teams of P/S Trikuta Nagar were constituted for the search/arrest of the accused person under the guidance of SDPO City East Dy. SP Bikram Kumar and the team led by SHO P/S Trikuta Nagar Insp Deepak Pathania assisted by SI Mohd Iqbal followed up the leads of the case and after hectic efforts arrested the accused namely Ajay Kumar S/O Som Nath R/O Trikuta Nagar from a hideout at Parjani ,Samba. Further investigation of the case is going on.
