Terror truck 'faked' number plate for Punjab trip before attack 12/14/2020 12:02:16 AM Early Times Report jammu, Dec 13: The terror truck that was destroyed along with four terrorists at Nagrota toll post last month may have travelled to neighboring Punjab with a fake number plate before the deadly encounter, the officials are investigating. While all the four Pakistani terrorists were killed on the outskirts of Jammu city on November 19 and the truck which was ferrying them was destroyed in the gunfight, the intelligence inputs about the vehicle are only turning even alarming. Sources said the National Investigation Agency have inputs that the truck that was used by the terrorists had not only visited Punjab a fortnight before the encounter, but the vehicle may have even put a fake number plate to sneak into Punjab. Sources said a special team of senior officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Police had already started investigations into the matter in coordination with their counterparts from the Punjab Police. Source said the NIA was expected to probe that link. While the driver of the vehicle is absconding since the day of the gunfight when he had managed to flee the spot, the investigating agencies are trying to ascertain the possible reasons behind the travel of truck of Punjab. "What needs to be seen is that if there is a larger terror angle to the entire story because as of now possible movement of the truck to Punjab that too with a fake number plate looks suspicious," said a source privy to the investigations on the condition of anonymity. The police have inputs that the truck may have lifted the four Pakistani terrorists from Samba, where they are believed to have infiltrated through a recently dug up tunnel in the area. After sneaking in through this terror tunnel, all the four Jaish terrorists, who were recently killed at the Nagrota toll post, taking advantage of darkness and thick elephant grass had managed to reach the roadside to board the truck that was already waiting for them.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
