Induction Meet held at GDC Basohli

Basohli, Dec 22: An induction meet for the students of Semester 1st was held today in the college premises in which about 200 students and all faculty members participated. The students were welcomed by the college Principal, Dr. P.K. Rao along with college faculty. The Principal of the college in his welcome address elaborated upon various facilities and support services being provided to the students in the college. He also impressed upon them to be regular and punctual in their online classes during the COVID pandemic time and should take active part in cocurricular activities organized by the college from time to time to improve their overall personality and outlook which is the need of the hour. The principal also stressed upon the students to take up the skill courses recently introduced in the college by Higher Education Department to enhance their employability prospectus and help them earn while learn. The students were informed that a Psychological Counselling Cell has been established in the college where students can get psychological support for their mental health and wellbeing. On this occasion Dr. Yash Paul Sharma also addressed the students and advised them to take full benefit of facilities that are available in the college and work hard for making their future productive and successful.
In the second session students interacted with their subject teachers and had one-to-one interaction regarding all issues related to online teaching and academics. The faculty addressed most of their difficulties and queries. On this occasion the students also visited the college library and accessed various facilities available there. All COVID SOPs were strictly observed during this mega event.
