LIC employees observe 65th ‘Foundation’ Day 12/23/2020 12:41:37 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 22: LIC employees under the banner of Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association led by Divisional Secretary, Comrade Pawan Gupta observed Foundation Day of NZIEA at Jammu. On this occasion, Flag of the Association was hoisted by Vice President of NZIEA, Com. Dinesh Kumar Sharma accompanied by all the members of the Association including women Convener Smt. Neelam Sharma, Joint Secretary, Com. Romesh Chand, Rajesh Kumar, Nanak Chand, Shiban Raina, Kishore Lal, Raj Kumar. Speaking on the occasion, Com. Pawan Gupta congratulated all the members on 65th Foundation Day of NZIEA and said that Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association was formed on 22nd December 1956; Its 64 years period has remained a period of struggles and sacrifices for the rights of insurance employees and against the policies of the government adversely affecting the employees. He strongly condemned the anti people, anti farmers and anti workers policies of the NDA Government with a special reference to the neo liberal economic policies which have led to wholesale privatisation of the public sector and benefitting the corporate at the cost of workers and farmers. He strongly opposed the move of the NDA Government which is going ahead with bringing IPO in LIC of India, thus paving way for its privatisation.
