Jammu, Dec 26: The ongoing Agitation of Lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and the Subordinate Courts completed 72 days today. The Lawyers held DHARNA in the Janipura Courts Complex. The lawyers Action Committee carrying ahead the agitation since 15 October 2020 in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March end this year and on few other issues has projected 8 points demand charter for Opening of all courts for entry to lawyers and public, resume physical hearing, Accepting hard copies of cases, .
Opening the locked Bar Rooms of lawyers, Providing stamp papers and tickets within court premises through stamp vendors, Immediately opening of Consumer Courts, Shifting back Registry of Documents to Judicial Officers, Withdrawing contempt initiated against the lawyers, Holding immediate election to the J&K Bar Council. Today’s protest Dharna was joined by Advocates: JA Kazmi(former vice president), BS Manhas,KK Pangotra, Baldev Singh Slathia(former acting president Jammu Bar),H.C. Jalmeria Convener of Action Committee, MP Gupta(former secretary Jammu Bar),CS Gupta(Former Secretary Jammu Bar), BR Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Rajinder Kumar Chanyal,KC Sharma,Vijay Sharma,Rajinder Singh Jamwal,Sabodh Singh Jamwal, Ashok Misra,Shah Mohd Choudhary, JP Sharma, Imtiyaz Mir(Doda Bar),Meharban Singh,VS Saini, Daljeet Singh Manha(former Young Lawyers president),Meenakshi Slathia, Manohar Gupta, Surjit Singh Andotra, KS Chib,Anil Khajuria,Abdul Rouf Lone, Manohar Lal, Ajay Singh Manhas, Vir Ranshore,Atul Raina and others.
