UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: Jasvir Singh DDC member Panchari-Moungri met chief horticulture officer Udhampur to discuss many issues regarding horticulture schemes.
He also discussed to switch over from traditional farming to high tech farming like establishment of Ultra high density orchards, establishment of more pack houses, polygreen houses, WHT, Power tillers, Tractors & vermicompost units etc. so, that orchardists get better returns for their produce.
He also discussed about the new technologies in horticulture sector, besides providing technical knowhow about pruning/hoeing/spray schedules and grafting techniques.
Jasvir Singh also discussed with Salil Kumar Gupta, Chief Horticulture Udhampur to organize Kisan Mela and more such awareness camps in Panchari-Moungri to extend benefit to maximum number of farmers.
He laid stress to provide "Mobile Soil Testing Van" and issuing Soil Health Card to all farmers of the area in order to increase the overall productivity of horticulture, agriculture & allied crops in the DDC constituency.
Salil Kumar Gupta Chief Horticulture Udhampur assured the DDC Panchari-Moungri that all the genuine issues and demands projected by them would be redressed in a time bound manner. |
