DySP in Rajouri-Poonch range loves to play video games than performing duty | | | RAJESH TANDON EARLY TIMES REPORT POONCH, Jan 21: It might sound strange but it's true that an influential Deputy Superintendent of Police in Rajouri-Poonch range loves to play video games on mobile during working hours in his office rather than discharging his official duty. The local residents alleged that despite his failures to come up to the expectations in his duties, he has been sitting in his home district. The alleged police officer is particularly targeting transporters having permits and all other requisite documents but sparing those who had no permits. "Although he had failed to provide proper security during DDC elections thereby some mischievous elements entered into the booths and attempted to capture it and later re-elections were held, yet he was not transferred for dereliction of duty," they alleged. They further said that whenever the people visit him in the office, he never gives heed to their grievances and remains busy playing video games on his mobile. It has been observed that whenever locals lodge some complaint in the police station, he reaches to their house and threatens them. He always ignores the aspirations of the minority community and gives support openly to the majority community. Recently a Tehsildar had requested the DySP to provide the security during a drive against encroachment of State land but he allegedly didn't send the team due to his vested interests. When Early Times contacted a senior police official, he said that he had also received complaints against the official and assured that he would inquire the matter. |
