Former ADC Poonch under scanner for illegal revenue entries | | | RAJESH TANDON EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Jan 21: A former Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Poonch has come under scanner for his illegal activities during his tenure in the district wherein he cleared around 350 cases pertaining to Revenue and other issues illegally in lieu of commission. Sources told Early Times that the ADC had jurisdiction of three tehsils including Mendhar, Poonch and Surankote. During his tenure, he settled 450 cases of revenue and various schemes of state as well as central but shockingly 350 cases were disposed illegally and most of them were revenue. "He got illegal entries in the land records of various people by instructing his subordinates just for the sake of commission. Not only this, even he used to give favour to his juniors including drivers by calling officials of Food Supplier and Consumers Affairs to give them bags of Rice, Flour, Sugar etc on just phone calls," they alleged. The locals of the above mentioned tehsils appealed to ACB to conduct thorough probes of the cases disposed of by him illegally. When Early Times contacted the senior official, he admitted that he had received complaints against the former ADC and investigations on various cases settled by him will be held and appropriate action will be taken if complaints were found true. |
