DDC Rajouri inspects developmental works in Koteranka, Budhal areas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Jan 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Thursday conducted an extensive tour of Koteranka and Budhal areas to inspect the progress on the developmental works being executed there and to sort out the issues related to the works. DDC was accompanied by SSP, Chandan Kohli; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat; SE Jalshakti, SR Shukla; SE PWD, Shahid Latief; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; CEO, Gulzar Hussain; Tehsildar Koteranka, Hakim Shah; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Mohammad Zubair, ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmad; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Munshi Khan; ExEn PMGSY Budhal, Abdul Gani; ExEn I&FC, Sageer Malik; BMO Koteranka, Iqbal Malik and other concerned district and sectoral officers. The DDC inspected the proposed site for the Government Degree Campus Koteranka at Hubbi. He sought detailed report from the Geology and Mining Department about the strata of the land and its feasibility for construction purpose. During his visit to Indoor stadium at Koteranka, the concerned officer from JKPCC apprised that the project has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.82 crore. The DDC asked the concerned officers to construct a drain channel around the stadium and complete the electrification process at the earliest. He also directed to maintain cleanliness in and around the stadium to make it use worthy. He also sought a report regarding the completion of work on the stadium in all respects within fifteen days. The DDC also paid a visit to the Girls Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel being constructed by the JK Housing Board. About the issue of the 'high electricity bills', the DDC asked the ADC Koteranka and AEE PDD to conduct a survey of the houses in the areas and verify the genuineness of the electricity bills. Regarding the construction of roads, the DDC asked the concerned Executive Engineers to prepare DPRs at the earliest to provide necessary benefits to the general public. To redress the grievances pertaining to power and water supply, the DDC asked the concerned AEEs of the PDD and Jal Shakti Department to hold camps for ten days and interact with the public to sort out their issues. |
