Give relief to students, take exams online: Kapil Singh | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 28: Describing the demands of protesting students of government women college, Parade, engineering students of different colleges affiliated with Jammu University and students of cluster University for mass promotion as well as online exams, Sr. Congress leader and Member Media Coordination Committee Kapil Singh today said that universities must adhere to just and genuine demands of students and not play with their career. Kapil Singh said one full year of pandemics has pushed students towards wall and affected their studies in worst manner. He said that results of several semesters of engineering students are still awaited and the Jammu University is also unable to declare date sheets for other exams. He added that Jammu University officials must in one go ask all the students to appear in online exams and solve their issues. He said that similarly students of women college who are protesting must be given mass promotion and their career saved. Kapil said worst is the situation of those having their backlogs. The authorities are neither declaring results of several semesters nor coming out with date sheet for online exams. He appealed to the government and especially Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to listen to students fraternity and save their career. The Congress leader said that checking of papers is also a mess in Jammu University and needs streamlining. He said it takes months for examiners to check papers due to which results are not declared and students face hardships. He also said that due to such delays many students are unable to keep the pace and even fill in forms for jobs advertised by government from time to time. Kapil Singh reiterated that all exams of all semesters of engineering students besides others must be taken online and students given one time relief. |
