Positive Minds organizes awareness campaign on pollution, traffic rules | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 31: Positive Minds-The Selfless Group comprising children of different age groups and various schools today organized an awareness campaign on the banks of River Tawi urging people not to pollute River Tawi by dumping garbage and plastic waste besides appealing them to follow traffic rules strictly. Addressing the media persons, Diya Dubey made aware the general public along with other volunteers not to put garbage and hazardous products in river Tawi. Osheen highlighted the issue of problems being faced by the commuters and pedestrians with regard to the unauthorized parking, rehries and encroachment of footpaths and front areas of their respective paths. Shivanya Sharma urged people not to use cellphones while driving and use seatbelts and follow traffic rules. On the occasion, Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Traffic, Jammu was the chief guest. He participated along with children to highlight the advantages to follow traffic rules for their own good. Shiv Kumar Sharma lauded the efforts of volunteers of Positive Minds and wished them a great success. Reet Dutta, Ridhima, Vanshika, Jasnehdeep Singh and Eliza Mahi were among others who participated in the programme.
