JKPA demands enhanced Medical Allowance, regularization of DRWs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 31: A meeting of J&K Pensioners Association (JKPA) held under the chairmanship of Amrik Singh, former leader of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) in which long pending demands of pensioners as well as the government employees to enhance Medical Allowance (MA) from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 at par with Centre Govt. Employees and Pensioners besides the two other demands including regularization of DRWs those who are working in the different Departments since 1994-95 and release of pending DA [Dearness Allowance] due from January 2020 was discussed. The Pensioners Association expressed great resentment against central govt for its anti-employees policies. After repealing of article 370 and 35A, the Employees/pensioners of JK UT are still suffering regarding enhancement of Medical Allowance at par with centre Govt employees and framing policy for Regularisation of DRW’s . The Pensioners Association appeals to the Centre Govt. and LG of J&K UT to look into the genuine demands of pensioners/employees and DRWs. The meeting was attended by former leaders of EJAC including Balwinder Singh, Darshan Lal Sharma, Sudesh Sharma, M.A Rather, Ghulam Mohi-u-din Mir, Ashok Kumar, Dev Raj, Chanchal Singh Pritam Singh Rathore, Narinder Singh Jandraia and others. |
