| Talk session on psycho social support for children of SOS children village organized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 31: Childline Jammu, nodal organization, Department of law, University of Jammu for the promotion of PSS (Psychological Support) manual in collaboration with Youthinkers Club conducted a special awareness drive with the children and support staff of SOS children’s village , Gole Gujral, Jammu A talk session was organized for the staff and children of SOS children village on “Psychosocial support for Children during COVID-19” by Rohit Khajuria, city coordinator, Childline and Vineet Sharma, founder of Youthinkers Club in which there was a detailed discussion about how this current COVID scenario is affecting children and what new challenges are the parents and care givers facing. In addition to Children COVID-19 is also bringing new stressors on parent and caregivers. This can hamper their capacity to provide care and remain engaged with their children.
Inmates of the SOS village were made aware about the ongoing COVID situation and recent developments made in this field including the vaccine and nutritious food items were also distributed among children.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Satinder Kumar, Nodal Director/HoD Department of Law, University of Jammu. |
