Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 31: President Parents Association, J&K Amit Kumar had narrow escape on Sunday evening after unidentified persons fired upon him at Greater Kailash here. Kumar was returning after attending a meeting at Bari Brahmana. Kumar told Early Times that three bullets were fired towards him but he escaped unhurt. Everybody knows that a full-fledged struggle is going against the private schools in J&K, especially in Jammu, and some people want to eliminate me, Kumar said. He said that he has been receiving threats from a gangster for a long time and had reported same to police, but unfortunately, no action was taken. “ While returning from Bari Brahmana, I stopped my car at Greater Kailash area, and atleast two bullets were fired on my car, but I thought that it was fire crackers, as I sat in the car another bullet was fired on my car and I rushed to nearby police post “, he said, adding that after reaching the police post he came to know that he would have been killed, if he had not stopped his car. “I will keep my struggle on and won’t surrender before Monopoly of the private schools, they can’t loot hard earned money of common man on the name of education”, he said, adding that soon he would be exposing those who orchestrated the attack on him. |
