| Pir Panjal Contractors Association constitutes team | | |

RAJOURI, Feb 2: A meeting of contractors was held in Rajouri today under the chaimanship of Sardar Tejinder Singh Kaka senior contractor in which several prominent contractors sat together and discussed various issues facing the contractor community over the past few years. The meeting also discussed the pending payments of contractors for some works and unnecessary harassment of contractors by some councilors of Municipal Council Rajouri.
In the meeting, all the contractors unanimously nominated Shafqat Wani as President of Pir Panjal Contractors Association, Romesh Sharma as Sr Vice President, Nadeem Mirza as Vice-President, Tejinder Singh Kaka as General Secretary, Irfan Zari as Secretary, Chamail Singh as Chief Organiser, Ashfaq Mirza nominated as Chief Advisor while Muhammad Aftar Lone, Mohd Iqbal, Mohd Ishtiaq Bhat, Shakeel Ahmed, Nikash Sheikh and Danyal Malik nominated as advisors of the association.
In his closing remarks, Ashfaq Mirza welcomed the newly elected officials and said that he hoped that the association would work hard for the welfare of the contractors. While talking to media person Shafqat Wani said that the contractor plays an important role in the development of the country and the contractor is the main pillar of the country where the contractor pays huge amount as tax for the development of the country and harassment of some councilors could not be tolerated in future. |
