| Traffic Police launches special drive against visible offences/modified silencers | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 2: Visible Offences/Modified Silencers/Education /Enforcement drive to free the service lanes from Qasim Nagar to Channi Crossing (Jammu Darbar) was launched by Traffic City Jammu in South City under the directions of ADGP Traffic J&K, T. Namgyal and SSP Traffic Shiv Kumar Sharma.
The team comprising of ASP Traffic Jammu Pardeep Singh Gouria, DySP Traffic South City Jammu Sunil Singh along with DTI Bikram Chowk Khushwant Singh, DTI Narwal Ashwani Kumar, DTI Railway Ashish Khajuria along with SOTs etc.
In total about 115 challans were done, including about 15 seizures of Bullets with modified silencers.
Also cranes were used to lift vehicles which were wrongly parked in service lanes along with requests were made to nearby Automobile Showrooms managers to help in keeping service lanes free, in addition about 40 stickers were pasted for wrongly parked vehicles.
Today along with challaning majority of public was made aware about traffic rules. People of the area including shopkeepers were happy and thanked Traffic personnel for carrying such useful drive. |
