JKMEF holds dharna, highlights demands of employees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 2: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Bishnah Jammu organized a day long protest dharna under the presidentship of Ved Paul Saini President JKMEF Block Bishnah to highlight the burning and genuine problems of medical employees who are fighting with the world wide pandemic Covid-19. Addressing the protesters, Saini said that DPC of all the categories is pending for the last four years which is supposed to be held twice in a year, despite of repeated representations and deputations nothing is done so far. For employees who are dealing with the Covid -19 are compelled to protest for their genuine demands, he added. Those employees who lost their lives while fighting Covid-19 are deprived from the compensation / insurance as announced by the UT Govt which demoralized the spirit of the employees, he said and added that that the compensations should be provided at the earliest. He demanded to release the pending salary of the Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers which is due from the last 5 months due to which they are facing starvations. Govt Pharmacists who could not registered them self before the revocation of 370 should be registered under new Central Pharmacy Act 1948, he added. While addressing the dharna, Sushil Sudan and Parfulat Singh urged the UT Govt to consider the demand of the medical employees at the earliest otherwise they will be compelled to launch further strong course of action. |
