| Police recovers 10 gms heroin, arrests three drug peddlers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Feb 24: District Police Kathua today recovered 10 grams of heroin like substance in the jurisdiction of PP Hatli Chowk and arrested 3 accused involved in the crime. Police sources said that a naka was established at Hatli Morh under the supervision of Insp Sandeep Charak and during checking one scooty without registration number was stopped for checking on which three persons were travelling. During personal search of all the three persons viz Imtiyaz Ahmed Mir S/O Ali Mohd Mir R/O Malikpora Teh Villagam Distt Kupwara, 5 gms heroin was recovered while from Varundeep Singh @Tarzan S/O Gurudev Singh R/O Ward No 14 Barmora Kathua Teh & Distt Kathua, 3 gms heroin was recovered and from Suresh Kumar @ Sethi S/O Mohan Lal R/O Mirpur Ram Teh Nagri Distt Kathua, 2 gms heroin was recovered making a total of 10gms from their illegal possession. Later, a case FIR no 88/2021 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kathua and investigation has been taken up. |
