Lib Asst GHS Barnara suspended and attached for alleged mis-behaviour with girl students | Local residents demand registration of FIR against employee | | Ajay Sharma Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 2: A Library Assistant posted at the Government High School Barnara of tehsil Sunderbani of district Rajouri has been suspended and attached after complaint of his alleged mis-behaviour with girl students. The incident took place under Lower Hathal zone, where allegations of mis-behaviour with girl students of class 5 and 6th were levelled against the Library Assistant. When the victim girls reported the incident with their family after which around 50-60 people along with parents led by Ex Sarpanch Trirath Ram Sharma staged a protest in school and met with the headmaster regarding the issue. Although during their meeting with the headmaster, the former sarpanch made a call to DC Rajouri on the spot and narrated the entire incident and demanded action. Meanwhile, the accused employee was found absent in the school and it was informed that he was on unauthorised leave and despite repeated communication to the alleged employee by the headmaster to come to school to explain his position in case he didn’t turn up. The parents demand legal action against the accused Library Assistant. Although the Chief Education Officer Rajouri, taking prompt action, suspended the employee and attached him with Government Higher Secondary School Khawas as per order CEO/R/MC/2020-21/45106-11 dated 1-3-2021. The deputation of local residents and parents demanded registration of FIR against the accused employee. They also appealed to the SSP Rajouri to conduct an inquiry into the matter and registration of FIR. Meanwhile, ZEO Lower Hathal, when contacted, said that strong action will be taken against the alleged employee so that such an incident may not take place in future. |
