Rajouri, Mar 10:One day Taining programme was orgainsed by Social welfare department with help of Chief Medical officer Rajouri under Nasha Mukht Bhart Abhiyaan with the aim to curb the menace of drug addiction in the district by generating mass awareness all the master volunteers of the district were imparted training here at PWD Dakbungalow Rajouri. On this occasion Dr.Sumit bakshi resource person for Nasha Mukht Bharat said Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is an ambitious campaign which aims to curb the menace of drug addiction in the society as drugs and other intoxicants pose a serious problem in a person’s life and career with dangerous consequences which affect the families as well as the society and therefore it is the responsibility of everyone to create awareness about the ill-effects of substance abuse by discouraging its use and everyone especially the youth must stay away from them, he said The participants were made aware of a number of causes behind drug addiction, its effects, drug trafficking and remedies to put an end to the menace of drugs. Drug abuse makes the youth dependent, incapable to face the challenges and finally takes their life.
