| J&K Sports Council Secy awards kit to fencer, felicitates cyclists | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 10: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council Secretary, Nuzhat Gull on Wednesday awarded to budding fencer and Commonwealth Bronze Medalist Shreya Gupta and also felicitated two cyclists for their outstanding performance at the national championship.
J&K Sports Council officials here said that the teenage Fencing Prodigy Shreeya Gupta, Commonwealth Bronze Medalist-2018 on Wednesday called upon Nuzhat Gull and briefed about her achievements and sports journey.
The fencer has bagged 22 National Medals including 10 Gold medals.
The athlete is a recipient of State Sports Award-2019 and Sheri Kashmir Sports Award-2018 besides Sardar Rangail Singh Award-2018.
Gull, impressed by the performance of the athlete, awarded Fencing Kit to her and assured her of support in future.
Meanwhile the Secretary also felicitated cyclists Mohmiss Ismail and Parveez Gujree.
The duo bagged Gold and Bronze Medal respectively in the 25th Senior Road Cycling Championship held in Mumbai.
Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu Ashok Sing and Administrative Officer, Riyaz Ahmad, J&K Sports Council were also present on the occasion. |
