AJKTMCTF, ARDA hail revision of passenger fare | | | EARLY TIMES RERPORT
JAMMU, Mar 12: All Jammu & Kashmir, Taxi/Maxi/Cab Transporters Federation and Kashmir Auto Rickshaw Drivers Association (ARDA) have expressed gratitude to the LTGovernor and his administration for the redressal of their long pending demand of fare revision. In a joint press conference held here today, All Jammu & Kashmir, Taxi/Maxi/Cab Transporters Federation and Kashmir Auto Rickshaw Drivers Association said the positive response shown by the government has kindled a ray of hope amongst the transporters who have rebut their belief in a meaningful dialogue to resolve all issues and we expect that all pending issues of transporters already taken up with the Government as reproduced here under will be resolved at the earliest. We through the medium of print / electronic media would like to thank all the Stake holder of transporters particularly All Jammu and Kashmir Tourist Taxi/Maxi/Cab Operators for their cooperation and support in the ongoing struggle for redressal of genuine demands of the Transporters. The Asociations demanded waiving of Token Tax / Passenger Tax / Rentals of Stands leased out by State/Central Government Department/Semi-Government Departments like Srinagar Municipal Corporations, Srinagar Development Authority, Custodian and District & Town Development Committees besides Railways and Airport Authority of India for the financial years 2019-20 and 2020-2, one time amnesty on Penalties for late fee on account of renewal of fitness besides raising several other demands.
