‘Awaam Ki Baat’ will plug gap between people, Admn: Kavinder 3/19/2021 11:20:35 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 19: Applauding the perspective of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in establishing a foolproof mechanism to reach out effectively upto last man in the queue by way of launching radio programme Awaam Ki Baat, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that this initiative will go a long way in plugging the gap between people and the government. He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating blacktopping work of a road having an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakh, here at Ward No. 52, Trikuta Nagar (South Extension) on Friday. He said that this endeavour on the pattern of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme can prove to be a significant tool to disseminate information about government’s steps in alleviating the hardships of the people of J&K, who are victims of successive governments’ indifference in the last over 70 years. “What is more exciting about this step taken by LG Sinha is the provision for people to share their viewpoint on government schemes, new ideas in helping government to craft public welfare schemes accordingly and even grievances if any directly through this dedicated system”, the former Deputy Chief Minister said, adding that only PM Narendra Modi-led government can provide such a governance model where people and their issues are always on top and rest everything comes after. Pertinent to mention that the half-an-hour long radio programme Awaam Ki Baat will be aired every third Sunday of the month starting this April. “This is something which will promote ‘Jan Bhagidari’ by giving voice to people and vision to the administration”, Kavinder maintained, adding that this initiative is aimed at seeking the feedback from the public to make the process of governance people-centric.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
