| World Autism Awareness Day observed | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 2: "World Autism Awareness Day" is an internationally recognized day on April 2 every year, encouraging member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with autistic spectrum disorders including autism and Asperger syndrome throughout the world. These disorders are characterized by problems with communication and social interaction. People with ASD often demonstrate restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped interests or patterns of behavior "World Autism Awareness Day" was celebrated today at this Institution. Teachers of the Institution spent this day playing with these children for their enjoyment. Books, Note books, track suits and refreshment was served to these children. It was pledged to serve these children with more dedication in education and co-curricular activities. On this occasion Principal of the Institution highlighted the arrangement for the skill enhancement of these children in the Institution. Parents of these children were also felicitated and encouraged. |
