SAMBA, Apr 2: In the ongoing Tennis Ball Night Cricket Tournament organized by Youth Sports and Affairs at High School Jatwal, the University XI thrashed Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) by 5 wickets.
JCC after winning the toss elected to bat first and scored 104 in 12 overs. University XI chased the target by losing 5 wickets. Kapil got Man of the Match award for his all-round performance as he scored 33 runs in 26 balls and took 2 wickets.
Lt Col. Anil Khajuria was the chief guest on the occasion.
In his address, he appreciated the efforts of sponsors and encouraged the youth to keep themselves busy in sports and physical fitness. Ashwani Sharma, Raj kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Rishu, Arjun, Gopi, Raman Kumar, Rahul Sharma and Neeraj are the organizers of this tournament in which 32 teams are competing for the winner’s trophy. |
