| United Class-IV Forum holds meeting, highlights several issues | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 2: A meeting was organized by United Class-IV Forum (J&K) at Jammu. The event was attended by a large number of Class-IV employees and members of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) belonging to various districts.
While addressing the gathering, president of the Forum, Sunny Kumar Sadhu urged upon the authorities to change the nomenclature of Class-IV's to Office Assistants as this will give us a social upliftment. The Department of Animal Sheep Husbandry has changed nomenclature of Shepherds to Stock Assistant and Srinagar Municipal Corporation has changed the nomenclature of Safaiwala to Sanitation Associates.
Forum also highlighted various issues including the revision of Grade Pay of Class-IV's employees at par with central government employees, regular conduct of DPCs/Promotions in a time bound manner, Delay in time bound Promotion cases etc.
We appeal to concerned authorities to clear all the pending issues of promotion of Class-IV employees such as court cases etc.
The Members of Executive Body was also honoured by the Chairman of JKTF Ganesh Khajuria. The President appealed the all unions of Class-lV employees belonging to different departments to join hands with the forum on common issues.
