| Virtual inauguration cum Orientation of Industrial Skill course held at GDC Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Apr 3: Government Degree College Kishtwar today organized a Virtual inaugural ceremony of Industrial Skill Course on 'Digital Marketing' under the capacity building programme & Skilling initiatives of Higher Education Department, UT of J&K in collaboration with Central University of Jammu (CUJ).
The event was held under the guidance of College Principal, Prof. Anirudh Sharma and under the supervision of course co-coordinator, Prof. Mohammad Yaseen Sirwal.
Proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof. Mohammad Yaseen Sirwal, who briefed the students about this digital course and its applicability in fetching employment especially in this COVID scenario.
The Principal presented formal welcome address. He thanked Dr. Devanand padha, Chairman cum Administrator, Project on Employability Training (PET) and Prof Jaya Bhasin, Project Director PET for managing this skill course for the students of GDC Kishtwar. He explained how the course is going to increase Employability generation and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Neelika Arora, Assistant Professor School of Business studies, CUJ briefed the students regarding the course outline and inspired the students to grab this opportunity.
The inaugural session culminated with the vote of thanks presented by Prof. Romana Akhter.
Virtual inaugural ceremony was followed by an orientation course by Dr. Asif Ali, Assistant Professor School of Business Studies (CUJ) using PPTs on Digital Marketing. He explained its various phases and stages and impressed upon its importance and applicability.
Lastly question answer session was held regarding various queries of participants.
