Former neta hosts Cigar parties! | Dum Maro Dum! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 12: A former politician, who was previously associated with the Peoples Democratic Party, has been sending invitations to his friends to join him for a “cigar party” at his residence in Srinagar. The said person, who was also a minister during the Peoples Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janta Party alliance, has made the invitation on the social media. Sources said the said person has shared some pictures of his collection of cigars with his friends and looks ahead to enjoy the same with them. The former politician has been generally living away from Kashmir but has come to homeland presumably due to spike of Covid19 cases in the state where he mostly lives. It was reliably learnt that he looks ahead to spend some time in Kashmir to interact with his aides over small parties. The said person was removed from the Cabinet led by the then Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. After the collapse of the PDP-BJP government, he had resigned from the party. Thereafter he was seen as close some of the politicians who left the PDP. He has also been taking a dig at some of his former colleagues from the PDP. He was seen as one of the architects of the PDP-BJP alliance but after his ouster from the ministry, he was not seen having good relations with the BJP also for some time. But subsequently his relations improved with the right wing party again. Sources said it was only after his relations with the BJP improved again that he got a “high profile job in aviation sector.” Around a month ago, he joined one aircraft maintenance provider as an independent director after getting all requisite government and regulatory approvals. As per the sources he joined the company’s board as he had received all requisite approvals, including security clearance. The board of the said firm has five members, including two independent directors. |
