Essay writing competition on “unity in diversity” organized

Kalakote, Apr 16 : Literary club of GDC Kalakote organized an online essay writing competition on the topic, “Unity In Diversity” in commemoration to “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. The term “Unity In Diversity” refers to the state of togetherness or oneness in-spite of presence of immense diversity. It is based on the concept where the individual or social differences in physical attributes, skin color, castes, creed, cultural and religious practices are not looked upon as a conflict. Among the people there are numerous races, castes, creeds, religions and languages. This diversity is peculiar characteristic of our Indian Culture which adds to the beauty and richness of the same. This competition was thus organized to celebrate the beauty of Indian Diversity and the unity which binds us together. All the participants portrayed a fascinating picture of our rich diversity and the unity that still exist in spite of all these differences. The judges for this Competition were Prof. Sanjogita Kumari (HOD Hindi), Dr. Mohd. Shakoor (HOD Urdu), Prof. Sheetal ( HOD EVS) .The result will be declared after proper evaluation and the top three winners and the participants will be awarded certificates. Speaking, on the event through an online platform, Principal GDC Kalakote, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta appreciated all the students for their participation and also briefed them that Unity in diversity is the most important feature for a country because it is a very easy task to divide people with different views and ideas but it is equally difficult to maintain unity among them despite their variations and this is what is the Mantra of prosperity of a Nation.
