JAMMU, Apr 16: Field day cum awareness programme on Zero Till Cultivation of Wheat was conducted by Division of Agronomy, SKUAST-J under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana - Project entitled "Demonstrations on Zero Till Technology for Temporal Management of Wheat in Basmati Rice-Wheat System" for the farmers as well as Extension officers of the Agriculture department.
The purpose of the programme was to demonstrate the field performance of Zero tilled wheat taken after the harvest of Basmati rice besides an interaction/ awareness session about the benefits of Zero tilled wheat which is not only a profitable but a resource conservation technology as well.
