Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 16: ASKPC condemns the assault on General Secretary Shri Sanatan Dharm (SSD) Shitalnath Ashram Sabha by some Kashmiri Pandit miscreants who had come from Delhi to show their illegal might in the Shitalnath Temple complex Srinagar Kashmir on April 12.
In a meeting held at ASKPC Bhawan, Kashmiri Pandit community in general and ASKPC in particular took serious note of the ugly head raising of miscreants in the premises of Shitalnath temple and warned those vandals that in future such illegal action would never be tolerated so better is to mend their criminal behaviour otherwise they had to bear the consequences. The members present in the meeting advised miscreants to shun their unwanted egos and join hands with other community members who put their efforts for the betterment of the community.
While addressing the gathering, President Ram Krishen Wangnoo said that Shitalnath was the place where from ASKPC started struggle to counter the nefarious designs of fundamentalists whenever, they planned against Kashmiri Pandits from time to time since 1931 that include loot of Pandit properties, their killings or other henious rimes. He cautioned those who wanted to distort the piousness of Shitalnath with making it anti Kashmiri Pandit hub and warned miscreant activities would never be tolerated at any cost. He appreciated the recent daring action of Sanjay Saraf leader LJP who took cudgels against the temple land grabber mafia in Kashmir and set an example for others that the community needs great persons of that caliber.
Ravinder Raina Vice President in his address requested all community leaders to join hands with ASKPC for struggling against the atrocities which pandits face from centuries back.
Among others who participated in the programme were Advocate Kashmiri Lal Bhat founder PNBMT, Ashok Braroo, Bharat Bushan Gosani General Secretary, Raja Ji Kakroo, Rubby Mattoo, Veena Gurtoo, Shuban Pandit, J L Pandit, Sanjay Pandita, R L Koul, Bimal Wantoo, Ravi Raina, Sunil Bhat, Deepak Moza, Ashok Dhar and Sanjay Bhat.
