Jammu, Apr 23: Department of English celebrated ‘English Language Day’ under the worthy patronage of the Principal of the college Dr. G.S. Rakwal.
The programme commenced with the welcome note by Dr. Neena Gupta, HOD English. Worthy Principal Dr. G.S. Rakwal addressed the students and acquainted them with the purpose of this celebration.
He emphasized on the significance of English language in the present scenario and also advised the students to acquire proficiency in English Language as it is the need of the hour. Students from semester I, III and V participated in the event.
Poornima of Semester V scored the 1st position, Ekta Choudhary of Semester V scored the 2nd position, Archana of Semester V and Gyatari Devi of Semester III scored 3rd position respectively.
Prof. Shifali Abrol and Prof. Vijay Kumari were the jury members on this occasion. Prof. Neha Jain, HOD Computer Application provided the technical support. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Neena Gupta, HOD English Department. |
