DC Jammu discusses formulation of Capex Budget

JAMMU, Apr 23: To discuss the formulation of plan under District Capex Budget 2021-2022, Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of Block Development Officers, here at DC Office Complex.
Chief Planning Officer Yoginder Katoch, District Panchayat Officer Sunaina Saini along with BDOs of Jammu District were also present in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to formulate plan for development of playfield in each Panchayat, repair and installation of hand pumps, rejuvenation of water bodies, development of roof top water harvesting structure and other works under Back to Village program in consultation with BDCs and PRIs.
He also directed them to formulate the plan for Block level Health infrastructure and equipment like Doppler USG, Dental X-ray machine, Digital X-ray machine etc, Block level Education plan for establishment of smart class rooms in High Schools besides other works.
He instructed officers to utilize available funds under the Capex Budget and other capital heads as per the fixed timelines while also taking due care with regard to the fulfillment of codal formalities.
The DC also asked officers to explore all the avenues for capital expenditure besides incorporating workable and efficient inputs and data for a rational and proper formulation of the proposed budget 2021-22.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to submit their plan under District Capex Budget before 1st May 2021 so that the projects can be completed well in time for the convenience of the people.
