| ‘Doctors’ agents fleecing people at Lakhanpur, negative test costs Rs 200’ | | |

Jammu, Apr 28: Citizen's Forum have requested LG Manoj Sinha to either stop the Lakhanpur covid testing facility or see that poor and rich people entering J&K UT are not fleeced in the name of covid testing.
It has been reported by that doctors and their agents have converted this facility in to a private business establishment.
R K Chadha president Citizen's Forum said it is reported that doctor's agents come in the bus itself and ask for Rs 200 for a covid negative report supplied in the bus carrying visitors. Those who pay get the negative covid report at their seat only. Others have to go through the process.
Those who are found Covid positive are sent to a quarantine center in Kathua , situated in total solitude place without any good facility , even water has to be purchased from outside shop.
A very senior and educated person reported that the doctors and agents of the facility have become Atamnirbhar by selecting rich persons with family , declaring them positive and then making them go through all the ordeals and again declaring them Covid negative reducing the weight of their purse by Rs 8000 to 10000. The facility has to select 8 to 10 such visitors every day. People with family have to agree to save the ordeal with their families.
