JAMMU, Apr 28: Police have foiled bovine smuggling bids in two different incidents at Akhnoor last night. According to police sources, during intervening night of April 27 and 28, four vehicles bearing registration numbers JK01AC6776, JK 12A 4348, JK11B 2104 and JK12A-2511 were stopped for checking by a party of Police Station Akhnoor under the command of SHO Hilal Azhar. It was found during checking that bovines were being transported without requisite permission. As many as 13 bovines were accordingly rescued and accused persons namely Jahangir Hussain S/o Feroz Din R/o Dingla Jangial Poonch, Basharat Hussain S/o Mohd Aslam R/o Dingla Jangial Poonch, Javed Iqbal S/o Mohd Isar R/o Badhan Rajouri, Chet Ram S/o Subash Chander R/o Mangnad Poonch and Imtiyaz Ahmed S/o Bader Din R/o Chaktro Poonch were arrested. Accordingly a case against FIR No. 107/2021 and 108/2021 U/s 188 IPC, 11 PC Act, 184 MV Act was registered. Further investigation in the matter was going on. |
