Jammu, May 3: Acting on expected lines, the Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti on Monday hit out at the government of India for dismissing a teacher from service “in the interest of the security of the state.” While as all other parties have maintained a silence over the decision of the Lieutenant Governor’s administration to dismiss anti-national employees, Mehbooba Mufti came forward to defend those who have been directly or indirectly involved in fueling bloodshed and destruction in J&K. Mehbooba Mufti, while taking to her Twitter handle said, “In the middle of a pandemic Government of India should focus on saving lives instead of firing government employees on flimsy grounds in Kashmir. No wonder its misplaced priorities have converted India into shamshanghats & kabristans. The living continues to suffer and the dead are deprived of dignity.” On Saturday, Idress Jan, a teacher in Government Middle School, Kralpora was dismissed from service under sub-clause (c) of the provision of clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India. |
